Frequently Asked Questions
Read through some of the most common questions patients have about our clinic and chiropractic treatment in general.
What conditions do you treat?
We treat a variety of conditions involving musculoskeletal injuries such as back pain, shoulder injuries, knee injuries, hip pain, elbow pain, and ankle sprains, just to name a few. Dr. Giammarco specializes in working with sports injuries and helping people move better.
Is chiropractic treatment safe?
While minor soreness or discomfort is common right after treatment, when done properly, chiropractic treatment is a very safe alternative to more invasive methods. However, as with any other health treatment, there are some risk and considerations to keep in mind. This is particularly true if the patient has a condition that could exacerbated any negative side effects. If you're worried about whether chiropractic treatment is a safe alternative for you, make sure to explain your symptoms clearly and disclose any preexisting medical conditions during your first appointment so our staff can help you accordingly.
How long will it take for me to get better?
We do not have cookie cutter treatment plans, as each of our patient is assessed on an individual basis. How long the injury has been going on, what part of the body, the demands that the person puts on their body, and the goals of the patient will ultimately dictate how long it will take. With that in mind, our approach is to show you methods that you can use outside the clinic and in your every day life so you are able to do the things you enjoy while you recover.
Do you accept insurance?
We are an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies. What this means is that we are able to spend a significant amount of time with you and get to the root cause of your injury as quickly as possible. If you would like to submit your visit with your insurance, we can provide you with a statement that you can submit to your insurance company. We also will be accepting Flex Savings and HSA accounts later this year! You can learn more about our prices here.
What should I expect during my first visit?
Our New Patient Visit lasts one hour and it's our chance to get to know you and your goals better. This is also when we'll create your custom health plan and progress benchmarks, which we'll use during our time together.
